Dual Destiny is an Exotic Quest that Guardian has been trying to unlock ever since the Exotic Class Items were introduced along with The Final Shape.
This Exotic Quest must be completed by 2 players (no more no less) and is the only way to get the Exotic Class Items for you Guardians.
To unlock Dual Destiny, you will first have to take on a secret set of steps before the Exotic Quest becomes available.
The first thing that you will need to do is complete Overthrows in all of the areas, meaning you need to Overthrow The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse.
Once all of these are done, a secret activity will be activated and will even begin after completing an Overthrow in the third area.
Take note that these do not need to be completed in any order but these need to be done in a single run, which makes it important to avoid leaving or you might have to start over.
You will need to complete all the Overthrows in one go this time, which means that if you have just done all three for the first time, you can begin this one after the third one is done.
After each Overthrow, a Secret-Keeper of the Witch Queen will spawn on the map, and you will need to defeat them one by one in each location.
Secret-Keepers of the Witch Queen will spawn shortly after you have completed an overthrow, giving you time to defeat them before hostile forces return to the area.
Once you have defeated all 3 Secret-Keepers, a green beam of light will appear, and you will need to follow it until you reach the Crystal Statue of Savathun.
This requires that you make your way through the refraction and follow the path that later leads you to where the green beam of light is coming from.
Upon reaching the Crystal Statue of Savathun, you will hear her laughing and this will give you a buff called Savathun’s Envoy.
Once you have the buff, you will have 7 minutes to complete an activity that requires you to defeat enemies in different locations. (Expector Selin)
One Expector Selin will drop Refracted Light while the other will drop Sublimated Darkness, which are orbs that need to be brought back to the cave where you found the statue.
Deposit each of the orbs in the marked areas (waypoints appear when you pick them up) and once they have been deposited, the Dual Destiny Exotic Mission will appear.
After you have completed this activity, the Dual Destiny Exotic Mission will also be accessible through the Pale Heart destination.
The Secret-Keeper in The Landing easily as you head into the large cavern around the southeast and this one is hard to miss since it will often attack you once it spots you.
Climbing up the northeast in The Blooming will bring you to a path that leads you to the Secret-Keeper which you will find as you proceed around to the back.
The Secret-Keeper in the Impasse is just to the southwest of the area, which will lead you near one of the Lost Sectors. (The Broken Deep)
Before you make your way to The Broken Deep, you will find a small entrance to the side where the Secret-Keeper can be found.
Dual Destiny in an Exotic Mission that Guardian must complete if they wish to get the Exotic Class Items that were added to Destiny 2 with The Final Shape.
Those who prefer to play solo do not have any other choice and will either play with friends or search for a fireteam to play with.
Unlocking Dual Destiny may take a bit of time but once this is complete, you won’t have to do it again to access the mission.
