Starting and Support items are getting massive changes soon.
Preseason is one of the most exciting times of the year in League of Legends. It’s the time of year when Riot introduces a bunch of gameplay changes and adds new content to the game. Players also get to test out the changes.
Having said that, the Preseason usually begins in the middle of November and lasts until mid-January, when the season begins. However, starting with Season 14, Preseason will be removed, and the changes will be implemented in the PBE servers. Thus, we got this year’s Preseason changes early.
For this year’s Preseason changes, we got some significant changes. First, Mythic Items are finally getting removed. In addition, most items are being simplified and are getting some of their power reduced. K’Sante is getting a much-needed rework. Jungle is being nerfed once again. And finally, Starting and Support items are getting buffed across the board.
In this article, we will review the Starting and Support item changes and see how these would affect the game.

Droans Blade, Shield, and Ring are getting their Health value increase. They are also getting increased AD, Health Regeneration, and AP, respectively. In addition, Dark Seal is getting a slight buff to its Health.
The Support Items are also similar buffs to the Starting items. Their Health, AP, and AD are getting slight buffs.
Overall, these are some decent buffs. Starting items buffs should make buying these items more enticing to players. And Support items buffs should make Supports laning phase much smoother.
All these changes are coming in Patch 13.20, which will be live on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
