Assaults on Plague Hearts

Depends on the difficulty but since I’m stuck on lethal combat your best bet is to just grab three things:

  • A good gun that you have alot of ammo for to deal with any ferals since melee is just worthless against them
  • Any bombs for the heart it can be anything from c4 to molotives you just need something that explodes or starts a fire (Bloater gas is extremely powerful, just 4-5 gas bombs ignited was enough to kill a lethal heart for me)
  • Stamina items so you can kite the horde around you

    • Your basic plan is plant any c4 or any other remote bomb(If you plant enough it can outright almost or fully kill the heart but I don’t remember how much it takes) near the heart then set it off then you run around so you have a another opening to chuck your other throwables inside while picking off ferals and the horde now chasing you. if you used up all your bombs just kite some more till you can shoot it till it dies(I suggest never reaching this point unless your in multiplayer, just bring more throwables then you think you need).

    But really hearts suck to deal with, I never try to deal with sleeping ones just the ones that wake up and even then I try to be careful so I can just hoard items till one eventually does

    I’m not 100% sure on this last tip but I don’t think plague hearts heal damage they take so hit and run might be viable but I’m not sure
